Group: Editing Update
We have started to edit the animated ring that will turn into the coldplay text on Adobe After Effects CS5.5. Joe used masks and keyframes to achieve the reveal effect we were aiming for. Here are some screen shots to show the progression so far of the animation aspect of the video.
I used Adobe After Effects CS6 in order to create a shape on a transparent background and use masks to animate the entrance of it to look like the ring was drawing itself. I then created another black ring of the same width and stroke and size to be hidden under the burgundy ring. I used masks and animate them again to reveal the ring behind which then turned thicker using the adjust stroke tool. I used key frames to move it to the left revealing OLDPLAY beneath.
